Multidisciplinarity and Adaptability: A Promising Approach with Scalable Returns 

The EMDR treatment combined with specifically chosen healing and stabilizing techniques allow the participants to reprocess any traumatic and anxiety related memory into a more adaptive sensory and cognitive narrative corresponding to their age and assimilation capacity.

The unique combination of these carefully selected therapeutic methods will mobilize both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously in order to generate new, yet, carefully guided visual, auditory, sensory and kinesthetic neuronal connections. These new connections will activate a series of resilience markers that the child or the adult can access, sustainably develop and reinforced.

An adaptable program to HP, ADD, ADHD Children and Adolescents

The base of our program is adapted to fit the emotional, cognitive and developmental needs of HP, ADD, and ADHD children. During the 10 days, children and adolescents will have the space to express themselves as well as learn new tools to cope with their daily difficulties. 

By the end of the program, children will have a better understanding of their own abilities and affinities toward new activities. This offers a great advantage to help children canalize their energy as well as balance out any difficult emotions built up and endured because of their HP, or attention disorder.

Genetic and Epigenetic Implications 

Biological mutations caused by adverse psychological events have been observed from molecular psychiatric stand point. Many specialists are taking an increased interest in researching the fields of genetic psychiatry and behavioral psychiatry to better understand the neurobiological consequences of trauma and its impact in the development of the child.

From the field of epigenetics, it has been shown that severe trauma can induce functional modifications of the deoxyribonucleic acid sequence, i.e. DNA, which is evident in the dysregulation of the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) Axis. This can manifest as cortisol hypersecretion (relative to depression) or cortisol hyposecretion (relative to PTSD and stress-related disorders).

Intergenerational Transmission 

Researchers are debating and pursuing investigations to better determine intergenerational transmission of the trauma through neurobiological mutations induced by environmental and interpersonal severe adverse experiences.
